50 Cent is to release a series of "street" books.
The rap star - who has already turned his hand to acting after starring in the semi-autobiographical film 'Get Rich Or Die Tryin'' - is planning to launch his own publishing house, G-Unit Books, in association with MTV/Pocket Books, who released his memoir 'From Pieces To Weight'.
The company will publish "street fiction" and the initial releases will feature works by the members of 50's G-Unit group, Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo and Young Buck.
According to reports, the rapper hopes to have the company up and running by early 2007, but it is not yet known if the 'In Da Club' singer plans to pen any titles himself.
Last month, it was revealed 50 Cent threw over $17,000 to children on a New York street - by accident.
The rapper reportedly planned to toss around $1,500 to the youngsters but threw more bills than he meant to.
He said: "They went mad."
