Office worker businessman sick sickness ill health

If you dread waking up in the morning and can think of a million things you would rather do than go into the office, there might be light at the end of the tunnel.

Have a look at our top tips that will help you get rid of that negative outlook and get you looking forward to the day ahead.

Start your day the right way
Eat a good breakfast. It’s not called the most important meal of the day for nothing; eating breakfast is the best way to kick start your day and get yourself feeling alert. It also helps you stay focussed throughout the morning.

Embrace your commute
Make the most of your journey to work by reading a book or magazine, listen to your i-Pod or make some notes to prepare you for the day.

Exercise
If you can, walk to work or if you can’t, get off the bus or train one stop earlier than usual. You’ll be getting some exercise and saving some money at the same time.

Water water everywhere
Take advantage of the office water cooler. A combination of dehydration, air conditioning and central heating can cause tiredness, headaches and play havoc with your skin, all of which can be prevented if you drink water at regular intervals.

Get moving
Sitting in the same position all day can affect your posture and your health. Make sure you make the most of those tea and toilet breaks to ensure you keep moving.

Get green
A plant will perk up your surroundings and will also improve humidity and air quality.
