Cracking idea Gromit! Kids to create their own animation
Primary school children are set to become the latest pioneers of animation after Aardman (the quadruple Oscar winning team behind 'Wallace and Gromit') has teamed up with the Tate art institute. It will be the first ever Tate movie, and one which will see the kids contribute greatly to the characters, storylines, drawings and sound.
The trio of talent are expected to join forces and release the feature length film in 2011 or 2012, after giving the children a fresh approach to art education and the filmmakers a new outlook in terms of inspiration.
The Legacy Trust has committed £3m to the project, but until that materialises, take a look at the 10 most successful animated films of all time in terms of American box office receipts.
