Celebrity chefs: A recipe for disaster
Gordon Ramsay
The foul-mouthed chef swears the secret to cooking great food is by using fresh produce. But according to The Sun this is not the case in Ramsay's Foxtrot Oscar eatery in Chelsea and three more of his restaurants in London.
The paper uncovered that the fashionable diner has been using pre-prepared food, such as fishcakes and coq au van, which are delivered from his production factory run by GR logistics.
The undercover reporter spoke with the factory manager, Darren Ridley, who admitted that they supply "the majority of the food to the Foxtrot Oscar". The menu price for 'Foxtrot smoked fishcakes and mixed leaves' stands at 9.95 with staff there assuring customers that they are freshly made on site. However the report revealed that an individual fishcake is worth 1.92 and they are delivered, ready made.
