From dancing with Kylie Minogue to hit song ‘Kids’, to making friends with Garry Barlow, home-grown star Robbie Williams has much to answer for over the past few decades. Before the expecting father heads back to the UK, find out all you need to know on Robbie with our quick profile…
The popular singer-songwriter graced the world with his presence on 13th February 1974. He was a member of infamous boy band Take That in the nineties, before leaving to become a much loved solo artist in 1995
The good-looking funny show-man has previously been entitled as the best-selling British solo artist in the UK, having sold many millions of records worldwide. He owns 17 of the much sought after Brit Awards!
Album gumpf… Robbie’s debut album ‘Life Thru a Lens’ came in 1997, with his first single “Old Before I Die" reaching number two in the UK singles chart. The memorable tear-jerking hit “Angels” kept the album in the top ten for forty weeks. The ’I've Been Expecting You’ album came in 1998 feat. the song “No Regrets”, with 2000 bringing ‘Sing When You're Winning’ (and ‘Swing When You're Winning’!) and the century-turning hit "Millennium".
Still going…The album ‘The Ego Has Landed’ was released in 1999 in the U.S and Canada which included power song "Rock DJ". ‘Escapology’ arrived in 2002 with the song "Come Undone", not forgetting women swooning over Robbie at Knebworth – with his first live album in 2003. ‘Intensive Care’ saw worldwide success in 2004, and the eagerly anticipated dance album ‘Rudebox’ made an appearance in 2006.
In October 2010 ‘In and Out of Consciousness: The Greatest Hits 1990–2010’ was released to celebrate his 20 years as a performing artist. The 'Bodies' singer has been sunning himself in America since 2004, but will come home to the UK as his expecting wife (sorry ladies!) is due to give birth to their daughter soon
