Cheryl Cole is often seen mingling along with the royals, and is often granted backstage concert tickets and entry passes. She has been spending a lot of time with Prince Harry, Prince Charles, and the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton.
Cheryl recently opened up about what it’s like in the royal social bubble. In an interview with Grazia earlier this week, the singer shared how she had to go through an etiquette lesson on how to address Prince Charles the first time she had tea at Clarence House.
She said that she had called him “Charles” omitting his royal title. “Someone started coughing at my mistake behind me to correct me, but he (Prince Charles) couldn’t stop laughing.”
She also shared that she and the ever-sophisticated Duchess had bonded about fashion. Calling Prince William’s wife by her first name, Cheryl said that Kate is ‘really down to earth’. She added, “She said she loved my music. She was incredibly girly and sweet.”
It comes as no surprise, however, that Cheryl has been getting along quite well with her favorite member of the royal family, Prince Harry. “Everybody knows I have a soft spot for Harry,” she shares.
When asked about her openness about her admiration for the young prince, she remarked, “I’ve met him several times and we laugh about it. It’s a bit of banter between us.”
