Just launched by digital radio experts Pure, the One has a great price and look. It's mains or battery operated, has timers so you can use it as an alarm, and squeezes FM and DAB tuners into a tiny space. It comes in black, white and pink.

This handy Dyson attachment is great for cleaning the car. There's a turbine head for picking up pet hairs, a crevice tool to really get in between the cracks in the seats, and a stubborn dirt brush. Utilitarian but impressive.
