Mobile phone charges
It's common knowledge, and for some reason accepted, that you may be charged to receive a call that comes from outside the country you are in.
But if you thought that was bad then this information will make you red in the face. If European Union telecommunications chiefs have their way, we will be charged for receiving calls from the UK too! The justification for this new scheme would be the reduction in the routing of calls from landline to mobile and mobile to mobile phones.
This is just one example of technology stabbing you in the back and getting right up your nose. It get's worse.
