Imagine closing your eyes and turning up the volume of your favourite concert that's what the sonic chair allows users to do in their own home. Crank up the sound of your favourite gig without disturbing anyone around or having the worry of background noise disturbing the moment.

Listeners sit in the centre of the sound system for a unique experience where the body-focused sound membrane, which serves as backrest, creates the feeling of a live performance. It connects to an iPod, laptop, CDs or audio book for a more than pleasurable audio experience.

The Sonic Chair is on display in The House of the Future, Grand Design at Excel in London until May 4.
