Apple v Microsoft
Founded in 1976 Apple Inc. brought computing into the home by producing 'Lisa', the first commercial computer to employ a graphical user interface. Later they introduced the first mouse.
By the 1990s IBM had raised their heads and begun to mass market their own brand of PCs, fully supported by the one thing they were missing, their own graphical user interface. It came in the form of Microsoft Windows 3.0 and at a much cheaper price.
By the mid 90s Apple's market share and fallen sharply. And in '97 they gave up the fight finally entering into partnership with Microsoft. While still their own company things would never be the same again.
