History:

The ultimatum of a Google phone presented Apple with their first real online competitor, but after the initial showdown with the Android's release in October 2008 the dust settled leaving both fighters intact and very individual.

Target audience:

Networkers, Google lovers, general internet browsers and technology buffs.

Verdict:

You get a real keyboard which cuts out the annoyance of battling with a touchscreen. Google also have a wealth of free and paid-for treasures and mods to download but with dicey looks, another short battery and no video camera this still has some way to go. The contract with T Mobile doesn't help either.
