The pair suffered minor injuries after the rapper hit a parked car at around 3:30am on Wednesday.
Reports confirmed that the couple came from a LA recording studio when the accident happened.
Former ‘Girls Aloud’ singer Cheryl, who was sitting in the passenger seat, was reportedly shaken after the accident.
It is understood she banged her head on the dashboard which caused her nose to bleed.
Will.i.am, whose real name is William James Adams, an American singer-songwriter, rapper and producer, on the other hand had a badly-bleeding nose.
Police arrived at the scene and former ‘The Black Eyed Peas’ member Will was taken to Cedars-Sinai hospital, as reported by the BBC. Cherylwas treated at the scene and did not need any further medical attention.
News about the accident spread quickly online so the couple took the time to assure their fans that they were okay through Twitter.
The rapper tweeted: “Car accidents are not dope … I'm glad I'm o.k."Cheryl added: “Don't worry me and @iamwillare fine, promise x."
The duo met on the set of X-Factor with Cheryl leaving the UK to move to America.
Cheryl is reportedly in her first serious relationship with dancer Tre Holloway after her divorce to husband, England and Chelsea soccer star, Ashley Cole two years ago.
