You need to be aware that sometimes you can be a little too controlling.

In order to avoid pain, escape difficulties and chase away our fears, we develop emotional barriers. We are able to control what things we want to pass through these barriers. If we believe something is going to hurt us we can try our best to avoid it.

However, you have to realise that you can be safe without trying to control everything around you.

Perhaps, your control is not limited to yourself. Maybe in an unknowing sense you have started to interfere in a loved one's life. Although this is likely to be because you don't want them to get hurt, be careful you don't smother them. Everyone needs their own space and will already have developed their own barriers to protect themselves from the things they see as threatening.

Accept that you have no real power over anyone but yourself.
