10 of the greatest ever screen car chases
Ronin (1998)
Forget supercars going on two wheels through a tight alley way, the underrated spy thriller 'Ronin' brought the realism back to the car chase thanks to more conservative high powered motors like an Audi S8, a Peugeot 406, a Citroën Xantia and XM, a BMW M5 and Mercedes-Benz 450SEL 6.9.
Destroying 80 cars in the process, and using hundreds of stunt drivers including ex-F1 stars such as Jean-Pierre Jarier, 'Ronin' uses right hand drive cars with mirrored controls on the other side so it really looks like Robert De Niro and co are ripping up France. Actor Skipp Sudduth even did his own driving. The stunts are simply breathtaking.
