10 things you never knew about The Beatles
They are expected to earn £1billion within six months
The ninth of the ninth of the ninth (or September 9 2009 if you prefer) marked the fab four's latest attempt to recreate Beatlemania all over again, with simultaneous releases of their remastered back catalogue (in stereo or mono) and a Rock Band video game that allows you to step into their iconic shoes and follow their career. It was the first time that the albums have been released on CD in 22 years.
They're also putting their songs on iTunes for the first time ever (a legal dispute between the Beatles' Apple Corps music company and Apple Computers had previously stopped this but the game's download option has opened a convenient loophole). Brand expert Jonathan Gabay reckons all this, plus classic merchandising, will appeal to both old and new fans alike, raking in a cool £1 billion!
