Stealing the thunder from its predecessor, 'The Dark Knight' is being called the greatest superhero adventure of them all. The tragic death of Heath Ledger nearly overshadowed the release, but praise of his performance - and director Christopher Nolan's ability to once again take Batman to a whole new level - has catapulted this film from merely a sequel into a top contender for Best Picture and Best Supporting Actor Oscar nominations.
