Celebrity breast cancer survivors
Kylie Minogue
The Princess of Pop shocked fans when she announced she had breast cancer in May 2005, after doctors had initially misdiagnosed the disease.
She had to postpone her 'Showgirl' tour as she underwent surgery in France to remove a lump.
The Australian treasure, who rose to fame after playing Charlene in 'Neighbours' followed by a string of hits in her singing career, is now in remission after 15 months battling the disease with chemotherapy.
She credits her French fiancé Olivier Martinez for helping her through the "dark days" and urges women to check their breasts frequently so as to assist early detection.
