Sheen heckledStar's show doesn'tgo down too well
Charlie Sheen has apologised for his strange and erratic behaviour last year.
The former Two and a Half Men star said that he "didn't recognise parts" of himself when looking back at his public behaviour and wished that it was someone else.
Sheen was fired from the CBS sitcom after a spat with the shows creator Chuck Lorre.
Shortly after his public behaviour spiralled, he went on tour with his My Violent Torpedo of Truth show, taking with him his two new girlfriends, who he dubbed his goddesses.
Youtube videos and Twitter rants followed, with the actor gaining worldwide attention for his "winning" and "tiger blood" comments.
The star, who claims to have now recovered from his alcohol and drug addictions, expressed his embarrassment of last years events on the Today Show, saying:
"I didn't recognise parts of who that guy was. I just wish it was somebody else's body. You say it's been a year - it's either been a day, or a hundred years.
"I guess the plan was to reintroduce myself to America and to the media and say, 'Sorry about that, but here's what's happening now'."
When asked if he harboured any ill feeling towards Ashton Kutcher, who replaced him on Two and a Half Men, he said:
"A little bit. I gotta work through that. I could probably do it in a group on my show. Just not out loud.
"I couldn't have the Two and a Half Men thing be my television legacy. I couldn't have that end on that note. If this is going to be a swansong, then it's got to be a beautiful experience, and, so far, eight days there was more fun than eight years."
