Corrie legend wants to return

Johnny Briggs has stated that he wants to return to 'Coronation Street' as his dead character’s evil twin.
The soap veteran who found fame playing lothario businessman Mike Baldwin in Corrie for 30 years, has expressed his desire to come back to the ITV soap three years after his character was killed off.
The character Mike Baldwin, who was known for his frequent run ins with love rival Ken Barlow, died of Alzheimer's in 2006, but Briggs hasn’t ruled out his own return to show. He cited 'Dallas' character Bobby Ewing, who returned to the US soap a year after he was killed off.

He told the Daily Star newspaper: "It worked in Dallas where he came out of the shower as somebody else. I would do something like that definitely.”
The veteran actor also said he would be concerned about slipping back into the hectic work schedule. He added: "I do miss it. Talk about ageism is silly, there's no sell-by-date on a good actor.
"But I don't really regret leaving when I remember how hard it was. The hours were just getting longer and longer.
"It got to the point where I just thought 'I don't want to be carried out of here on a stretcher."
