The ex-EastEnders and Hollyoaks star showed no fear at the start of the competition with fighting talk aimed at her rival Roxanne Pallet, saying: "It will be the blonde southern soap queen versus brunette northern soap queen. But there can only be one winner and that's going to be me I will make sure I skate before Roxy and scatter sequins all over the ice so she falls over."

But unfortunately Gemma became the first female contestant to be booted off the show after finding herself in the bottom two with former Page 3 model Melinda Messenger. Judge Jason Gardener said: "Do I save cardboard cut-out number one, or cardboard cut-out number two? I save Melinda."
