Demi Moore hospitalised

Demi Moore was rushed to hospital on Monday and is now in a private facility to seek treatment, it has been reported.

The GI Jane actress apparently called 911 late on Monday evening and after being assessed by paramedics, was taken to a Los Angeles hospital, claims TMZ. 

Moore's spokesperson said:

"Because of the stresses in her life right now, Demi has chosen to seek professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health.

"She looks forward to getting well and is grateful for the support of her family and friends."

However the showbiz website also reports that sources are claiming that the treatment is due to a substance abuse problem.

A source close to the star told the website that Moore has checked into a different facility to "seek further professional assistance".

The actress, who split from husband Ashton Kutcher in November, recently pulled out of a planned cameo as lawyer and activist Gloria Steinem in Lovelace, the biography of Deep Throat star Linda Lovelace.

Moore has also reportedly signed a $2million book deal to discuss her marriage and divorce from Kutcher.
