'Murder She Wrote' is one of TV detective drama's ultimate staples, lasting a whopping 12 seasons from 1984-1996, providing the genre with one of its most enduring characters: Jessica Fletcher.
Jessica Fletcher, world renowned mystery novelist and part time crime-buster, has an international fan base that sees her jet-setting across the globe to promote her latest books, and running into real life crimes that she will then solve herself.
It does look incredibly fishy that a civilian keeps cropping up around murder scenes, knowing a lot more than the police do, but this one (epic) implausibility aside, 'Murder She Wrote' is a fantastic escape from the sometimes dull police procedural drama or overblown detective action thrillers.
This comprehensive collection from Universal Playback contains all 21 episodes of the tenth season. They include: 'A Death in Hong Kong', 'For Whom the Ball Tolls', 'The Legacy of Borbey House', 'The Phantom Killer', 'A Virtual Murder', 'Bloodlines', 'A Killing in Cork', 'Love and Hate in Cabot Cave', 'Murder at a Discount', 'Murder in White', 'Northern Explosion', 'Proof in the Pudding', 'Portrait of Death', 'Deadly Assets', 'Murder on the Thirtieth Floor', 'Time to Die', 'The Dying Game', 'The Trouble With Seth', 'Roadkill', 'A Murderous Muse' and 'Wheel of Death'.
