'The Hangover' is the kind of ridiculously overblown and convenience-filled comedy plot line that shouldn't sustain a full-length film, but somehow does.
Its plot sees three very different guys (Bradley Cooper as a suave Phil, Ed Helms as an under the thumb dentist Stu and Zach Galifianakis as a clingy, slow slob Alan) take Doug (Justin Bartha) out of Vegas for his stag night only to lose him.
The trio wake up with the worst hangover they've ever had, a tiger in the bathroom, a baby in the closet and sign of Doug despite the fact that he's due to be married in a matter of days.

What follows is the threesome trawling through a selection of clues and hunches to get him back while trying to remember what they're guilty of in the process.
Heather Graham makes a fantastic little appearance as a stripper who married one of the guys in the night they don't remember, but it's the three leading males that pull the film together with their bickering, shared excitement and general chemistry.
All in all, 'The Hangover' is a silly film made all the more sillier by adding moments that could've been handled much more subtler (Mike Tyson's cameo for example) but it's all got a lot of heart and energy that can't be denied.

It's infectious cinema with plenty of quick-fire immature fun attached along for the ride even if you don’t agree with it all by the time you settle back into reality - just like a genuine stag night. Check it out if you don't like your comedies to be too serious or deep.
The Hangover is available on Blu-ray, DVD, On Demand and Digital Download December 7th.
