Carey gets hitchedMichael's co-starmarries boyfriend
Michael Fassbender has confirmed that he and his Shame co-star, Nicole Beharie, are in a relationship.
Rumours recently circulated that the pair were romantically involved, but neither party had confirmed or denied reports.
Now, Fassbender has spoken out about his relationship, telling GQ that it is "difficult" because they live on different sides of the Atlantic:
"I'm seeing Nicole. We're trying to see each other as often as possible.
"That's kind of difficult when she lives [in New York] and I live in England.''
The 34-year-old starred opposite Nicole in the Steve McQueen-directed film, Shame, which also stars newly wed actress, Carey Mulligan.
In the interview, Fassbender did however say that he only began dating Beharie when filming had wrapped:
"Nothing happened while we were filming. We started talking more on the promotion thing. So, yeah, it just sort of unfolded like that."
Fans will next be able to see Fassbender on the big screen in Ridley Scott's new film, Prometheus.
