Must have soundtracks
'Nowhere Boy' - various artists (2009)
Sam Taylor Wood's biopic of John Lennon, before international fame came calling on the Beatles, offers a fantastic glimpse at the golden era of rock'n'roll. This two-disc soundtrack affirms the view, by picking songs which influenced Lennon the most.
Expect Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry, Eddie Cochran, Fats Domino and plenty more, as well six tracks by The Nowhere Boys - the band from the film itself! Also thrown into the mix is Lennon's own primal scream of raw emotion, 'Mother'.
