1. Casablanca (1942)
Although Bogart never actually said "Play it again, Sam" this is one of the most recognisable romances ever made. Whether it's the song "As Time Goes By", the genuine uncertainty of which lover Ingrid Bergman will choose or the classic line "Here's looking at you, kid" (which Bogie really did say), there's something in 'Casablanca' for everyone.
