Laurence Olivier may have been one of the greatest stage actors of time, but get him in front of a camera for a hefty pay cheque and it all goes down hill. The Jazz Singer is no exception. Any film that features Neil Diamond in a lead acting role was never going to be a critical success, but even worse than Diamonds Razzie Award winning performance was Oliviers German-ish accent.
