'House' star Hugh Laurie to record blues album

'House' star Hugh Laurie has signed a deal to record a blues album, it has been revealed.
The British actor, who is self-taught on both the guitar, piano, drums, saxophone and harmonica, will release the as-yet untitled record with Warner label WME.
The 51-year-old 'Blackadder' star stated: "I am drunk with excitement at this opportunity. I know the history of actors making music is a chequered one, but I promise no one will get hurt.
"I am particularly thrilled to be working with Joe Henry, who has produced some of my favourite records of all time, and I can't wait to get started."
Joe Henry has worked on albums with artists including Elvis Costello and Solomon Burke, and has penned songs for Madonna.
