Reality star Kim Kardashian has accused British Airways of stealing valuables from her luggage.

The 31-year-old claimed that items were taken from her suitcase during a BA flight from Heathrow to Los Angeles.

She had been in London recently to promote her latest fragrance and was also spotted spending time with other half, rapper Kanye West.

Kardashian took to Twitter on 27 May to hurl the accusations, posting to her 15million followers:

"Very disappointed in British Airways for opening my luggage and taking some special items of mine! Some things are sentimental and not replaceable.

"What happened to the days when you could lock your bags! We need to get back to that. There's no sense of security and no trust!"

According to entertainment site TMZ, Kim claims that some sunglasses belonging to her late father were among the items taken.

A British Airways spokesperson has since said:

"We are continuing to investigate this matter. Our customer travelled from Nice to Heathrow Terminal 5 to Los Angeles.

"At this stage, we have discovered no evidence to suggest that the bag in question was interfered with at Heathrow.

"Our investigation is also seeking to establish details of the bag's passage through Nice and Los Angeles airports."
