Marc Anthony has filed for divorce from Jennifer Lopez, it has been revealed.
The pair announced that they would be ending their marriage in July 2011, after a seven-year relationship.
According to entertainment website TMZ, Anthony filed papers at the LA County Superior Court on 9 April, citing "irreconcilable differences".
The performer is asking for joint custody of the couple's four-year-old twins, Emme and Max.
Lopez and Anthony have continued to work together since their split, appearing on Fox reality show Q'Viva. They are also set to perform together for the programme's live concert on 26 May.
This is American Idol star Jennifer's third divorce, after splitting from Ojani Noa after 11 months and dancer Chris Judd, who she divorced in January 2003.
She is currently in a relationship with backing dancer, Casper Smart.
