Sunday’s finale also saw Thomas’s character Alisha killed off. The actress, writing on her official Twitter page, confirmed the news of her departure:

"I wont [sic] be coming back for series 4 but I can't wait to see it! I've had an amazing time in misfits- it has been epic!"

The pair are the second and third members of the original cast to have quit the show, following the departure of Robert Sheehan, whose character, Nathan, left at the end of the second series.

He was replaced by former Emmerdale actor, Joseph Gilgun.

A fourth series has already been confirmed by the broadcaster and is scheduled to air late in 2012.
