The star of '24' provides the voice for General W.R. Monger in 'Monsters vs Aliens' and said that his new role was a "breath of fresh air" compared to making serious action-packed dramas.

He said: "Do you want to eat the same thing every day? It is paramount to all of us in every aspect of our life. For me, it was a fantastic counter-balance because I'm shooting 24. We're very serious on 24 for a long time and for four hours every so often and do this over-the-top crazy character and just have a lot of fun."
