Chris Brown has taken to Twitter to once again rant about criticism levelled at him.

Several celebrities had publicly questioned Brown’s inclusion at the Grammys, just three years after his vicious assault on then-girlfriend Rihanna.

Brown’s account responded to all the criticism, which involved articles questioning his suitability for the awards being widely re-tweeted by hundreds of thousands of users.

He wrote:

"Strange how we pick and choose who to hate! Let me ask u this. Our society is full of rappers (which I listen to) who have sold drugs (poisoning).

"But yet we glorify them and imitate everything they do. 

"Then right before the worlds eyes a man shows how he can make a Big mistake and learn from it, but still has to deal with day to day hatred! You guys love to hate!!! But guess what???"

The singer then tweeted:

"HATE ALL U WANT BECUZ I GOT A GRAMMY Now! That's the ultimate F*** OFF."

Country singer Miranda Lambert led the charge against Brown, referencing her song Gunpowder and Lead, tweeting:

"How dang long did they give Nicki Minaj to do whatever that was? Strange. And Chris Brown twice? I don't get it. He beat on a girl...

"Not cool that we act like that didn't happen. He needs to listen to Gunpowder and lead and be put back in his place. Not at the Grammys."

The country singer’s song features the lyrics, "he slap my face and he shook me like a rag doll, don't that sound like a real man.

"I'm going to show him what a little girl’s made of - gunpowder and lead."

As well as having a restraining order imposed on him, singer Brown was sentenced to five years probation, 1,400 hours of community service and forced to attend a domestic violence counselling course after he admitted assaulting Rihanna on 8 February 2009.
