Jackson's daughter speaks out

Michael Jackson’s daughter, Paris has been in the spotlight this week, after it was revealed that she will star in her first film.
The 13-year-old will star in fantasy film Lundon’s Bridge and the Three Keys, which is based on a young adult novel.
In an interview on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, she said that she realised she wanted to be an actress after seeing her late father star in Moonwalker and wanted to be just like him.

She explained that he would teach her how to cry on the spot and she wants to try to continue his legacy.
Talking about her father, she told Ellen that she did think making her and her two brothers wear masks when out in public was "stupid", saying:
"Yeah, I’m like, 'This is stupid, why am I wearing a mask?' But I kind of realised the older I got, like, he only tried to protect us and he’d explain that to us too."
It seems the King of Pop's attempt to protect his children from the media worked, as Paris also revealed that when she started school nobody knew who she was, giving her the opportunity to be a normal child.
Paris and her siblings have been in the care of their grandmother, Katherine, following their father’s death in 2009.
