Tennant to host ‘Buzzcocks’

'Never Mind the Buzzcocks' panellist Phill Jupitus has confirmed that David Tennant has filmed a Doctor Who-themed Christmas special of the music show.

Writing on his Twitter page, the comedian posted a photograph of himself with Tennant and went on to reveal that the music quiz lineup will also incorporate Doctor Who actors Catherine Tate and Bernard Cribbins.

The show will also feature Jo Whiley and Jamie Cullum in addition to regular panellist and 'Mighty Boosch' star Noel Fielding.

Jupitus said: "NMTB Xmas Doctor Who special - Tennant, D. hosts Cullum, J. & Tate, C. with Fielding and Whiley, J. & Cribbins, B. with Jupitus.

"Cribbins sat next to me singing Right Said Fred... Utter joy."

Doctor Who characters such as the Tardis, Cybermen and the Ood are also tipped to make an appearance.

The episode of the BBC's popular music show will air on December 16.
