Sir Cliff Richard to release new album

Sir Cliff Richard has announced he is to release a new jazz cover album.
In celebration of his 70th birthday, the veteran performer is to mark the landmark age with the release of a collection of jazz and swing music.
The veteran singer's forthcoming release is to follow in the footsteps of Robbie Williams' 2001 hit cover collection 'Swing When You're Winning', with classic songs including 'Let's Fall in Love' and 'I've Got You Under My Skin.'
Sir Cliff Richard, whose career spans over five decades, started before most had even heard of the Beatles and has sold over 250 million records.
"With the incredible creative input of seasoned American producer Michael Omartian, and the live sound of Nashville's best swing musicians, 'Bold as Brass' is an album I've planned and dreamt about for years," he said in a statement.

"It's been a long time coming, but what better way to mark my 70th birthday than to celebrate a genre of music which is both timeless and sheer class."
The 12-track 'Bold as Brass' album is set for release by EMI record on October 11, three days before the evergreen singer's 70th.
Richard will also perform six concerts at the Royal Albert Hall in London in October.
