Corrie builder woos barmaid

Coronation Street's newcomer Jake is in for a busy day at work when he accidentally gets an eyeful of Michelle Connor when her towel drops to the floor in a steamy scene that airs next week.

Builder Jake (Kenny Doughty) is working on the building when he screams for help after falling from the roof, ending up hanging from the gutter.

Michelle (Kym Marsh) jumps out of the bath and drags him by the feet through an open window.

But she is left shocked when her towel accidentally falls down, and he catches sight of her in the nude.

After an uncomfortable moment, the barmaid then gets dressed only to find him moving in for a kiss as soon as she's fully clothed.

Of the plot, Marsh said: "Michelle can't believe the cheek of the guy.

"She was so embarrassed when he saw her naked but no sooner has she put her clothes on than he grabs her and kisses her. She's speechless and sends him packing."

However, Jake's charm eventually does prevail after he enters the Rovers Return pub in just a small towel.

He then threatens to reveal all unless she agrees to go on a date with him.

Doughty said: "He really fancies Michelle, he's a cheeky charmer and he soon gets his way and she agrees to go on the date."

The scenes can be seen next Wednesday and Friday.
