Corrie's Michael Le Vell arrested in child sex case

Coronation Street star Michael Le Vell has been arrested on suspicion of a sexual offence involving a young girl.
According to BBC News, the actor, who plays Kevin Webster in the long-running soap, was arrested at his home on 30 September.
He has now been released on bail until 16 November, pending further enquiries.
Greater Manchester Police have confirmed the news, saying:
"A 46-year-old man from Hale has been arrested on suspicion of a historic sexual offence. The man was arrested at an address in Hale at 8am on Friday September 30, 2011."
In a statement made to PA, the married father-of-two Le Vell has "strenuously denied" the allegation, which was made to police on 29 September.
He also said that he would "do everything" in his power to prove his innocence.
A spokesperson for ITV commented on the situation, saying:
"We are aware these allegations have been made. Given that a police investigation is under way, it would not be appropriate to comment further on this matter."
Le Vell is married to actress Janette Beverley and the couple have two children together.
