In dramatic scenes which will air from the 28 March, Dot, played by June Brown, will be left lying unconscious on the floor after she falls down the stairs of her Albert Square home.
Dot is rushing to get to her shift at the laundrette when she slips.
With Jim in the next room, unable to reach her or a telephone, viewers will be left wondering who, if anybody, will come to her aid.
