Russell Brand is set to star in hit animated series 'The Simpsons'.

On revealing the news, the controversial comedian and recent film star was excited about bagging the role, saying: "Once you've gone yellow, you've made it.

"My ideal show would be where I have a cartoon relapse with Barney and Homer and get smashed out of my mind with them."

The 'Get Him to the Greek' star joins a whole host of musicians,  rockers, Hollywood greats and even politicians who've lent their voices to the show since it began in 1989...
