Strictly star and actress split

Strictly Come Dancing's Ricky Whittle has split up with his Hollyoaks co-star Carley Stenson.

Whittle plays Calvin Valentine in the Channel 4 soap, while Stenson found fame as Steph Cunningham.

Whittle is currently competing on the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing alongside Natalie Lowe.

A source told the Daily Mirror: "Carley has been crying ever since the split. She loves Ricky but when she found out he had cheated on her, she just couldn't trust him."

The acting couple had been together for two years. They claim that they will "remain good friends".

Meanwhile, it was reported that Whittle was involved in a car crash earlier in the week that saw him suffer whiplash and jeapordise his rehearsal time for the show.
