Reunited members of girlband prepare for comeback...

The original Sugababes have reportedly secured a £1million record deal.

The trio have apparently signed to Polydor Records as they prepare for their comeback.

Rumours that the original band were reforming surfaced last year, when it was claimed that Siobhan Donaghy, Mutya Buena and Keisha Buchanan had begun working on new material together.

It has since been confirmed that the girls have recorded a song written by Emeli Sandé. Other top producers, including MNEK, Asterix and Naughty Boy are said to be involved in the reunion.

An insider revealed to The Sun:

"They've been working on new material all year with some high-profile songwriters and producers,” an insider revealed to the Sun.

"The label have started to pick tracks they think will help them be as big as they once were. This is a huge sign the industry thinks they've still got it."

This news comes in stark contrast to the current line up of the Sugababes. Members Heidi Range, Amelle Berrabah and Jade Ewen were forced to scrap their last album after their single Freedom bombed.

In the end, the label pulled the single from sale, instead offering it as a free download as a ‘thank you’ to fans.

The original line up are yet to decide on a new name, as despite being the original line up, the record company owns the rights to the name.

It is understood that the original Sugababes will release a single in the summer, with a new album following in the autumn.
