After successfully resurrecting the Gotham's caped rodent it was time for Bale, Michael Caine and Nolan to team up once again in this intense three-act magic trick, with Bale going head-to-head with another one of Hollywood’s “off the job” superheroes in the form of ‘X-Men’ star Hugh Jackman.

Bale’s powerful turn as the conniving and competitive Alfred Borden, one half of the battling pair of magicians, stole Jackman’s thunder. It also stars David Bowie, who looks remarkably like Ricky Gervais with a ‘tash.
