A new survey has revealed the nation's favourite alien films. Fittingly, to begin with is a classic that even has aliens in its title - the second in the franchise gave Ellen Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) a chance to bulk up, fight back and become an adoptive mother of sorts.

It also marked one of the few times that a high concept action sequel garnered its leading lady an Oscar nomination, but 'Aliens' certainly isn't the only acclaimed classic in this top 10...
