The top 10 films we lie about watching
10. The Great Escape (1963)
It's always on at Christmas and everyone can identify Steve McQueen jumping the barb wire fence with his motorbike, but a new survey from Orange for its Orange Wednesdays cinema promotion has revealed that many of us actually haven't watched it, opting to escape before the opening credits.
The research also revealed that while 58% of men lie about which classics they have watched to impress their friends, only 38% of women do the same, but what are the other cinematic greats people tell lies about seeing?
