The top 10 worst movie accents
1. Sean Connery – ‘The Hunt for Red October’ (1990)
Connery has previously been voted as having the worst film accent for his stab at Irish in the gangster classic ‘The Untouchables’. It sounded suspiciously like Scottish to us, but it least it roughly originated only a few hundred miles from the desired destination.
Such wasn’t the case for ‘The Hunt for Red October’ with his shocking attempt at Russian to his comrades (including a far more believable Sam Neill). Being banged up in a nuclear submarine for ages was never going to be fun with these dodgy accents flying over the radar every five minutes.
