David Schwimmer to wed

David Schwimmer has got engaged, it has been confirmed.

The former 'Friends' star popped the question to his girlfriend of three years Zoe Buckman.

43-year-old Schwimmer, best known for his role of Ross Geller in the hit sitcom, started dating Buckman back in 2007.

The couple met when the 43-year-old actor was in London to direct the Simon Pegg movie 'Run Fatboy Run'.

At the time, Buckman, 24, was working as a waitress in well-known celebrity haunt The Cuckoo Club bar.

The former 'Friends' star reportedly asked for her hand in marriage after she recently moved to the US to be closer to him.

It will be the first marriage for both Schwimmer and Buckman, who has previously dated a number of famous women including singer Natalie Imbruglia and former S Club 7 star Tina Barrett.
