Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber back in hospital

Theatre legend Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber has reignited fears over his health after he was re-admitted to hospital on Tuesday night.

The rush to the hospital came just weeks after a major operation in his ongoing battle with cancer.

In October, the 61-year-old veteran composer revealed that he was in treatment for prostate cancer. Webber underwent surgery later that month and was expected to be making a recovery.

However, doctors recently diagnosed him with an infection and rushed him back to hospital for urgent treatment.

A representative for the star confirmed the news in a statement: "Andrew has been re-admitted to hospital following his operation for prostate cancer.

“He has been advised that while the operation was entirely successful, he has developed a post-operative chronic infection which needs immediate treatment."
