TV's most recognisable theme tunes
1. 'Match of the Day'
It was the brass-led beat for the BBC's football commentary show that scored the highest in the poll which asked 2,000 people to vote for the most recognised theme music from the TV.
'Match of the Day' began on over 45 years ago but the theme tune we know and love today by Barry Stollern only began its run in 1970 and has been associated with the sports show ever since.
MOTD presenter Gary Lineker said: 'The theme tune never fails to excite me even after all these years.
'You just know what's coming next, lots of football action and goals - and everyone can hum it.'
