U2 to stream free concert

Irish rock band U2 will stream an entire concert, live on YouTube, it has been reported.
It will be the biggest concert ever streamed on the video-sharing website.
U2 are expected to be playing to around 96,000 at the sold out venue in California, and millions more are tipped to watch for free online.

The band's long-time manager Paul McGuinness said: "U2 have always wanted to do something like this for a long time. As we're filming the LA show, it's the perfect opportunity to extend the party beyond the stadium.
"Fans often travel long distances to see U2; this time U2 can go to them, globally."
The gig will be the penultimate show of the group's hugely successful 360º tour, which started in June to coincide with the release of their 12th album 'No Line on the Horizon'.
It will be streamed live to 16 countries, including the UL, Australia, Brazil, Israel and Canada.

British viewers will be able to tune in to the show from 3.30am on Monday morning. The gig will also be streamed in full on YouTube and U2's official website immediately after the concert.
"YouTube is thrilled to be able to provide our global audience with a live streaming performance from one of the world's greatest bands," said Chris Maxcy, director of partner development at YouTube.
The site will also enable the concert viewers to chat to one another via Twitter, or to make a donation to Bono's Aids charity, Red, while watching the show.
